Can Cupid Cure Not Only a Disease, But a Heart as Well?

Kyle Lawrence must fulfill a bet by dancing naked around the Cupid statue at midnight. Only he doesn’t believe in the superstition of finding true love, and at this moment, he doesn’t have time for forever after. A beautiful investigator from the USDA has arrived to warn of a possible cattle epidemic.

Life has not been easy for Dr. Tempest Tangier. A no nonsense veterinarian, who arrives in Cupid to investigate the possibility of a deadly cattle disease and end the infectious spread. But when she shows up at the Lawrence clinic, only to see a naked man breaking in, she quickly realizes the town holds more secrets than her past.

Can a rigid doctor with a famous past and a veterinarian with a gentle heart determined to save the cattle and the livelihood of his neighbors work together and in the process rescue each other?

My thoughts:

Cupid Cures by Sylvia McDaniel is a great small town romance. #5 of the highly anticipated “Return to Cupid, Texas” series. While, #5 it can be read as a stand alone. However, to thoroughly enjoy this series from the beginning, might I suggest reading all of this delightful and entertaining series.

This is the story of Kyle Lawrence, the local veterinarian with a gentle heart and Dr. Tempest Tangier, a USDA investigator, with a famous past. Plus the superstition of dancing naked at midnight around the Cupid statue brings true love. Superstition or truth? You decide!

A delightful tale that is heartwarming as well as entertaining. I think this one is one of my favorites of this series.

Tempest and Kyle most find a cure for
a possible cattle epidemic before it’s too late for the neighbors of Cupid, Texas. Sparks fly in more ways than one between Kyle and Tempest.

This series has been such a fun but serious series. Full of surprises, twists and turns, plus a sweet and heartwarming love. The characters are engaging, believable and realistic. The storyline is once again, entertaining and interesting. I enjoyed how Kyle and Tempest worked together to find a cure for not only the cattle but for their hearts, as well. Can they rescue themselves as well as the cattle, and their neighbors livelihood?

A quick read, packed full of emotion. Another lazy and relaxing afternoon read. A great read by Sylvia McDaniel! I absolutely love this series.

Navy SEAL Alex Morrigan anticipates a joyous reunion with his former girlfriend, Tori Wilde. Even after a two-year break to focus on their careers, she is still the only woman he wants. And now that he’ll be stationed near their home town of Edenton, North Carolina, Alex figures it’s time to rekindle their relationship. What could go wrong?

When Alex drops unexpectedly back into Tori’s life and into her bakery, her feelings rise up like a loaf of gingerbread. True, she’s now almost engaged to the best catch in the county. True, she has a successful business and a plan for her life. And true, she’s never stopped thinking about her first love, Alex. Everything in her life has changed, except her fear of loving a Navy SEAL on active duty. Yet while her practical mind tells her one thing, her fast-beating heart says something else. What if she makes a decision she’ll regret forever?

Rekindled, A Christmas Novella by Marliss Melton and Trish Dawson is a great Contemporary Romance set in Edenton, North Carolina. Second chances, small town romance, Military romance, and rekindling romance makes for some great reading. BTW, I loved the location in Edenton, North Carolina, I lived near there, in the snall town of Creswell, and I do mean small, for years and am familiar with the location. What a plus for me!

Navy SEAL Alex Morrigan and Tori Wilde are a great couple, albeit a bit confused after a two year break from their relationship, from their feelings for each other and dealing with a long distance relationship. Tori is moving on with her life, she is dating and on the verge of being engaged. Alex is expecting a wonderful reunion, boy, will he be shocked!
Tori is a strong, independent women who owns her on bakery business, but she feels her family’s disappointment, she still has feelings for Alex, he was her first love, afterall. But, the long distance relationship was taking its tow on her life, she knows the strain that a long distance relationship has on a Military couple, and the endless waiting for his return. Alex, is now stationed near Edenton, their home town, and feels that it’s time to rekindle their relationship. Won’t he be shocked to learn Tori is dating and almost engaged! He gets into his “courting mode”. But can Alex and Tori rekindle their love during this magical time of Christmas?

While, a quick read, only about 77 pages, Ms. Melton and Ms. Dawson, manages to bring together a very satisfying read, that has cute, sometimes funny one liners, charm, warmth, and will leave the reader with that warm and fuzzy feeling, Christmas stories often bring to life.
I enjoyed seeing Alex and Tori rekindle their love for each other and make their relationship stronger. But, will they be able to make their relationship work this time? Will Tori be able to overcome her fear of being in a relationship with an active Navy SEAL? You’re have to read, “Rekindled, A Christmas Novella” to find out for yourself.
A satisfying and enjoyable Christmas season read. I believe this is the start, “Southern Series”, book 1of a new and what promises to be an exciting series. I hope so, anyway. Can’t wait to read more! I would have enjoyed a longer version, but I enjoyed this story, all the seem. Would I recommend reading “Rekindled”, yes I would! A quick read for when you only have a few moments in your day. Great job, ladies! Hope to see more in the future!
