March 21, 2015 The Norman Conquest Series

A medieval soldier returns home to find his lover died in childbirth just as his own mother had. Believing he is cursed, Peter of Normandy turns from love. When he must give escort to an Irish princess more noble than many knights, he struggles with his decision to live a solitary life. Can he take the chance that his love won’t be a death sentence and possibly make them stronger? Padraig MacNaughton’s death bed decree rips his daughter, Brighit, from the shelter of her protective clan in Ireland. Forced to take vows at a Priory in England, she finds herself in the hands of lecherous mercenaries with their own agendas. Dare she trust the Norman knight to see her safely to her new life as a nun? Even when she finds in him the fulfillment of all she’s ever wanted? Or will honor and duty eclipse their one chance for happiness?

Simply, WOW! #2 in “The Norman Conquest” series, but can be read as a stand alone. Another spectacular Medevial tale of betrayal, danger, passion and romance. You gotta love this gentle Knight with a fiercely protective heart and the lady who broke through his curse, to capture his heart.

Fast paced with engaging, endearing characters who will capture your very soul. A well written storyline, that is strong, intriguing and intense. I would highly recommend “The Gentle Knight”, to any fans of Historical events, romance, suspense, emotional turmoil, with a fierce H/H and strong secondary characters. I enjoyed the way the Hero stepped forward to protect and keep the heroine safe at all cost, even to not obeying his King.
Another exceptional tale by Ms. York and one to be treasured. I can hardly wait for the next installment of this amazing series. Well done, indeed! A must read and a true treasure of a read!
