Book Description (From Amazon)

A life-and-death rescue leads to love for a single mom in USA TODAY bestselling author Catherine Mann’s Texas Cattleman’s Club story.

Texas tycoon Whit Daltry has always been a thorn in Megan Maguire’s side, especially when he tries to put the kibosh on her animal shelter. But when he saves her daughter during the worst tornado in recent memory, Megan sees beneath his prickly exterior to the hero underneath. Soon, the storm’s recovery makes bedfellows of these opposites. Until Megan’s old reflexes kick in–should she brace for betrayal or say yes to Whit once and for all?

My Thoughts

I love Catherine Mann and was thrilled to read this one. SHELTERED BY THE MILLIONAIRE was the first book in the Texas Cattleman’s Club: After The Storm, and immediately after finishing I had to go back and read the previous stories. This is Whit Daltry’s story and it’s fascinating. First you have the struggles of surviving a tornado then the clean up. Add to that the fact that Whit saves Megan’s daughter and helps her heal and you have a hero who is beyond swoon worthy. He’s tough and sweet at the same time. Megan is a strong heroine, one who isn’t quite sure what to do with Whit. It makes for an interesting story of romance. Add in the animals that Megan cares for, and the insight into what they face after a storm, and you have one great story. It’s quick, fast paced, engaging and will have you eager to read more of this series. Fans of the Desire line will find a treasure in SHELTERED BY THE MILLIONAIRE. If you are new to the Desire line what a book to start with. It’s a keeper shelf read!
