Book Description (taken from Amazon)
There’s a new sheriff in Fallbrook … Meet Dylan McBride.
Jessie Thompson had one hell of a week. Dylan McBride, the boy she loved, skipped town without a word. Then her drunk of a father tried to kill her, and she fled Fallbrook, vowing never to return.
Eight years later, her father is dead, and Jessie reluctantly goes home—only to come face-to-face with the man who shattered her heart. A man who, for nearly a decade, believed she was dead.
Dylan accepted the position as sheriff of Fallbrook looking for a fresh start and a chance to uncover the truth about Jessie’s disappearance. He knew he’d have to face a few ghosts … he just never thought one would be Jessie, all grown up, stunning … and alive.
The pull between them is instant, but Dylan’s heart has already mourned Jessie, and she has secrets she can never share. Can they escape the darkness of their past for a chance at a bright future together?
Book three of the McBride’s series from author Jennifer Ryan is one of the best books I’ve read lately. Dylan’s Redemption, follows THE RETURN OF BRODY MCBRIDE and FALLING FOR OWEN. I personally do think you need to read all three books in order, mostly because you get a better feeling for Dylan by doing so. I suggest you have tissues handy as you read Dylan’s Redemption. The characters are engaging and realistic. The story is emotional, and satisfying. There are funny moments, sexy moments, romantic moments, and moments that will tear your heart apart. This is one of those stories that leaves you sighing and wiping your eyes. I hated to turn to the last page. Fans of Jennifer Ryan already know she writes a fast paced, page-turning story, but if you are new to Jennifer Ryan I suggest you make sure you can read non-stop. This is one of those “can’t put down” reads. I loved everything even the moments that made me tear up. Fans of contemporary romances, cowboy romances, authors like Susan Mallery, or Linda Lael Miller will love Jennifer Ryan’s DYLAN’S REDEMPTION. I highly recommend this one to everyone. You’ll love it!
