Ivy Morris may be an adult, but she still lives at home with her widowed father long after her sisters have all left — until she gets a letter with the words “your inheritance” offering her a home and a business of her own 3000 miles away.
When she arrives to assume her new life as homeowner and proprietress of a popular costume shop, she is bombarded by a slew of people looking for the perfect outfit for the upcoming Harvest Ball. Between overpowering biddies and stolen lingerie from the worst-kept-secret side of the business, things get even more complicated when a woman is murdered at the ball–a woman wearing the same costume as Ivy.
With the help of her new friends, including a cute guy trying to rev up his journalism career to private eye status with this mystery–and revving up her heart in the process–she must solve the murder before someone succeeds in the quest to poison Ivy.

Ivy who lived with her father in the pink nightmare room, still decorated that way since her mother passed away, wanted to leave the nest.  She felt stuck at home, until he day she got mail that would change her circumstances.

Ivy inherited a house and a costume/lingerie shop that far from her California home.  When she  arrived at the shop she was introduced to a group of people some nice some not so nice.  She needed a new look and stumbled upon a salon, where she met her new best friend Bella.  Bella took her new friend Ivy to a bar and that is where she met the handsome Ben.

All seemed to be going well with her new friend Bella and a possible new beau when she found her thought to be new friend dead.

I loved this book.  I was laughing during most of it.  I enjoyed the characters and I like how they seem like people you would want to be friends with.  She is a curvy girl with real thoughts and she just seems like a lot of fun.  Ben is a typical male, but sees the good in her and the fun side that would make them have a great relationship.  If you like o laugh and have a bit of mystery followed by a growing romance, here is the book for you.  I highly recommend you give this book a try!! I am glad I read it.  I was also pleased to find out through the author website that there is a book two coming soon.
