Alec Kerley and the Wrath of the Vampire is an upper middle grade/young adult inspirational horror story for ages 12 and up. 24 chapters, 52,000 words. It is a legitimately scary story with some gruesome elements. Parental guidance is suggested.

First Bigfoot, now a vampire!

It’s been four months since Alec Kerley and his friends had their run-in with Bigfoot in the Ozark Mountains. During a field trip to southeast Kansas, they are confronted by a vampire. And this vampire knows them. He has been stalking them – watching, observing, tracking. He knows Alec’s father works for a secret government agency that investigates monsters.

And now the monsters want revenge.

Still dealing with the loss of his mother, Alec will have to gather all the courage he can muster, because the monster hunters have become the hunted.

Hold on tight for the scariest Monster Hunters story yet!

For the first in the series:
ALEX KERLEY AND THE WRATH OF THE VAMPIRE by Douglas Tanner is an interesting Middle Grade/Young Adult/Inspirational/Horror Age group: 12 and up. The Monster Hunters#2, but can be read as a stand alone. See, “Alex Kerley and the Terror of Bigfoot”.
Four months after….Bigfoot in the Ozark Mountains…
In this one,Alex and his friends, confront, who else? But a vampire in southeast Kansas. He has been stalking them, watching them, knows who they are, knows Alex’s father works for a government agency that tracks monsters, and now he is out for revenge.  This one is based on the Bender family of the 1800’s , a group of serial killers in Kansas.
While, this is an entertaining, fun, tale of vampires, revenge, chaos, monsters, courage, danger, and hope, it is also scary, complex, and did I, mention scary. However, with this said middle grade children, or young readers, will enjoy this fast paced, adventure filled tale of revenge and yes, vampires.
With engaging characters, an interesting storyline, and delightful dialogue, I can see how young readers would enjoy Alex, his friends, and the chaos around them.
Even with or because of,  a cliffhanger, readers are sure to hold their breath, until the next installment! We need more! An interesting and exciting tale to be sure. I can hardly wait for the next installment.
