Book Description (from amazon)

Cricket Creek, Kentucky, is a sweet river town known for its baseball, shopping, and cuisine. After finally rebounding from the recession, the residents are ready to repair their lives—and their hearts…

After two very public broken engagements with two very famous men, Addison Monroe is ready to avoid the spotlight. She decides to put her wedding planning experience to good use by opening a bridal boutique. Setting up shop in small town Kentucky is the perfect way to escape prying eyes and live a quiet, single life.

Investment consultant Reid Greenfield is fed up with weddings—and not his own. He’s certain his sister’s plan to turn their family farm into a wedding reception venue will lead to bankruptcy. Reid hopes that city girl Addison will be an ally in getting his sister to change her mind before she loses her savings. Instead, Addison adores the idea and jumps on board. It’s a risky business—especially once romance gets involved. But sometimes a little risk brings a huge reward…

My Thoughts

A charming, heartwarming story about starting over and finding yourself.  Get lost in the sweet town of Cricket Creek, Kentucky with LuAnn McLane’s latest Cricket Creek Novel.

With her recent broken engagements all over the TV, Addison Monroe decides to escape the public eye and spend a little time visiting her cousin, Mia, in Cricket Creek.  Addison decides to swear off men for a while, that is until she lays eyes on the sexy Reid Greenfield.  But even though she is physically attracted to Reid, her heart just can’t take a relationship right now.  But as luck would have it, Addison and Reid have something in common.  Weddings.  Reid’s sister wants to use their family farm as a destination location for wedding since the farming industry is no longer paying the bills, and, as it happens, Addison has some experience planning weddings, her own two as a matter of fact.  So when Reid asks her to talk some sense into his sister and tell her what a bad idea it is, Addison does just the opposite, latching onto the idea and even opening up her own bridal boutique!  There’s definitely some chemistry between Reid and Addison, and with the help of a few match makers, sparks begin to fly.  But can Reid overlook Addison’s past and believe in their future?  And can Addison finally find the “undying, all-consuming, everlasting, crazy love” she’s been searching so long for?

Such an enjoyable read by LuAnn McLane.  I just loved the storyline and the small town, country feel of the novel.  I found myself lost in the story, just waiting to find out what was going to happen next.  Addison and Reid’s story was so sweet, and yes, frustrating at times, but isn’t that what makes a truly great romance book?  I enjoyed reading as Addison began to redefine herself through her bridal boutique and relationship with Reid.  And the sexy chemistry between those two will put a smile on your face.  I loved the dynamics of their relationship.  Overall just a fun, easy read.  While this book is part of a series, I have not read any of the other novels in the series, and did not feel as though I was missing key story elements and backgrounds, so it’s the perfect stand-alone read!  Pick up your copy today and get lost in Cricket Creek.
