Book Description (from amazon)
Not your typical Southern belle…
Lucy Richardson’s bandit sisters may have taught her to sling a gun and pick a stubborn lock, but nothing prepared her for the agony of her first heartbreak. Her sisters taught her to fight like hell for what she wants… and she wants Finn.
Not your proper Southern gentleman…
Finn Taggart is bad news. His dark and tortured past always catches up to him, and Lucy deserves better than to be tainted by his touch. He couldn’t have her years ago, and he can’t have her now, no matter how enticing she is. If only he can convince her of that before the danger that follows him brings them both down.
Not your classic love story…
Danger doesn’t exactly scare a girl like Lucy, and she knows how to use all kinds of weapons… including her feminine wiles. Finn doesn’t stand a chance. And if they need backup… the Blood Blade Sisters are never far away…
A thrilling continuation of the Blood Blade Sisters Series! With lots of action and drama, this book does not disappoint and is everything you’ve come to expect from the Blood Blade Sisters! Michelle McLean will keep you riveted from start to finish!
When Lucy Richardson falls in love, she falls hard. Even after 7 years, she still hasn’t forgotten Finn and when she learns of his whereabouts, she takes off to North Carolina to remind him of their love. But as much as Finn loves Lucy he isn’t about to put her in danger, and danger is all around. If Finn had his way, he’d send her right back north, but Lucy is, after all, a Richardson, and there is no moving her until she’s ready. Determined to stay close to Finn, Lucy makes friends and decides to build a school for the recently freed blacks. But in the war torn south, not everyone agrees that they should be educated and Lucy is quickly making enemies, big ones. When Lucy starts receiving threats, she does what any Blood Blade Sister does, and starts pushing back. As Finn tries to protect her from the ones who wish her harm, he finds he can no longer deny the love that is between them. Unfortunately, events occur that force them to remain apart. Can Finn save her from the storm that’s brewing or has this sister finally found an enemy that’s too big?
I absolutely loved this book!! Its witty humor, fast paced plot, and sweet romance will keep you turning page after page. Another well written, entertaining novel by Michelle McLean. This one may be my favorite of the Blood Blade Series, though it’s rather hard to say one is better than the other! If you’re looking for action, drama, suspense, and a little romance, then don’t miss this book! It’s a great stand-alone read, but warning, once you read this one, you’re going to want to catch up on the other two novels in this series! Lucy’s character was everything I imagined it would be; true to her impulsive nature, and kind hearted through and through. I was so happy to see her and Finn find a happy ending and even more thrilled that all the sisters were able to return home to the ranch at the end. A wonderful read, and a series I will read again and again!
